it's a structural text editor, for haskell only
there eventually will be changelog and some docs before I put them in the editor UI
design philosophy:
- mainly no confirmation prompts
- no half typed commands and no plugins.
instead of plugins I want to include some feature set or whatever u can include in like the config, like a set. Idk, I just hate pluginss
the sword was part of my neovim configuration and it looked vastly different but I took it out and made it my signature lolll it's like my brand atp
what does it do?
- Modes: switch between Annealing, Moulding, Forging and Browsing through:
- w to Forge
- e to Browse
- m to Mould
- ESC to switch back to Annealing
- File Manager: browsing mode presents a near feature complete file manager
- t to trash items instantly and bring them back with a quick u incase u've made any mistakes.
- n to make a new file and s to search through the entire codebase.
- Undo History: after each mode change, the buffer is saved to the history of a zipper, which u can move around with u or r.
- Persistent Buffers & Undo History: whenever u change back to annealing, the editor automatically serializes the buffer and it's entire history into a file, so u don't have to worry when accidentally quitting or crashing.
- u can additionally press shift+enter in the file manager if u ever want to open it back to how it looks like in the actual filesystem.
- Tabs: 1-9 to switch through tabs quickly in Annealing, and you get a scratchpad for free. ctrl+left/right arrow if you wanna move to neighbors, and ctrl+c to close the highlighted tab.
- Structural Editing: this is the neatest part of the editor.
- shift+up/down/left/right arrows jumps to selected spans in the file, based on the AST.
- r/R to delete+forge the span
- d/D to delete the entire span.
- No Visual Mode: largely unneeded, the selection is automatic.
how does it look like?
it's not very interesting in terms of looks right now, but I want to evolve it into it's own sort of ricing culture or whatever lolz. buttt just to replace my theme cus I get tired of it damn fast
